3. Protect Our Lands & Waters

New Zealand’s lands and waters are the right of all citizens. But the era of privatisation, contracting out & selling off locked New Zealanders out of the social, cultural and material benefits they provide.

Foreign and local corporations extract large profits from our lands and waters while paying a pittance in return, leaving the nation with the cost. And the results are obvious: high prices at the supermarket for domestically-produced food while exporters send our best overseas.

New Zealand needs government to put the needs of the nation above the needs of corporations. We care for our lands & waters and want to protect them against exploitation. Let’s move past the era of privatisation and put the needs of our nation first.
