3. Protect Our Lands & Waters

New Zealand’s lands and waters are the right of all citizens. Conservation brings New Zealanders together, strengthening the nation.

But the era of privatisation, contracting out & selling off locked New Zealanders out of the benefits our lands & waters provide. Politicians allow foreign & local corporates to avoid tax while extracting large profits from our lands and waters, leaving the nation to bear the cost. And we pay this cost twice: sky-high prices at the till and degraded services throughout the nation.

New Zealand needs Government determined to protect our lands & waters and ensure the needs of the nation are served by big corporates, not the other way round. But first things first: Let’s put the era of privatisation firmly behind us.
